Your new town sounds so awesome. I really enjoyed Slumdog Millionaire, but the latrine part squicked me almost as much as the eye part. It was a bit sad, but not as sad as most real Bollywood movies I've watched. Also, Jai Ho is a great piece of music.

The latrine part was gross, but the grossness was mitigated by the humor and enthusiasm of the scene. There wasn't anything mitigating in the eye scene-- just forced torture on a helpless victim. Plus, you know, you can wash the shit off but you can't unblind the eye.

I'm loving my new town, though I feel like I've barely scratched the surface!

Sounds like such a lovely place to live.

The theory is that the mouse wanders in, then thinks, "Hey what's that smell? Is that cat shit?!?" And then finds his way back out. Of course, urban mice are sometimes not like that. Apparently your urban cat isn't up on the whole rule-book either.

Tegan will help me catch them, but she was always very firm that the cat should NOT be trying to kill the mouse. (She's very conflicted really. The mouse should NOT be in the house, the cat should NOT be killing things, I should NOT just be standing there doing nothing, etc.)
