Last Wednesday, I had an upsetting experience at my chiropractor's. My rheumatologist wanted me to try physical therapy for my left hip and knee and last week was Day 1 of PT with my chiropractor. The PT was going to have 2 parts: work with a balance board and stretches with this chair:

Yay you! I came to the exact same conclusion the last time I was sent back to the P.T. I am a 60 year-old woman, athletic for years, but now RA-ridden and other pain-triggering illnesses. The PT treated me like I was training for a triathalon. I took it for 2 sessions, then we had a heart-to-heart. In essence I told him to back off. Third session--it was like we'd never had the little talk. So I fired him. And told my dr. I needed low-impact PT as in water therapy, so swimming does it for me. Maybe that could be a possibility for you?
Take care---

Well, all right! Much more fun than dealing with the PT schmuck. You go girl!

P.T. is so hit and miss on helpfullness.

Honestly, I think you can do lots of other stretches without the chair. I've done some with and without that and found they work either way.

I have found that weight resistance exercises and water exercises DO help, but yes, need to go gentle and get the stretching in too.
