2014 was a hard year for my joints. I wasn't even sure I'd be able to do the Arthritis Walk this year. Last year, I did most of the walk in a wheelchair. My right ankle, after years and years of being a problem, finally succumbed to the joint damage and was no longer functional. I had it replaced in August. I thought I knew what was going to kill Kosette. It was going to be kidney failure. After all, she'd had kidney disease for over a year, and her kidneys were going to crash. Or it was going to be that the arthritis in her hind legs would progress to such a point that she'd no longer leave her bed, not even to use the litter box.

MORE: foods (I've been sticking to a pretty consistent diet for the last year and I want to try more of a variety this year, GI-system allowing), communicating with family members-especially via phone and/or Skype, sitting meditation (dream goal to meditate every day in 2014).
