The slaves arrive with the rest of the equipment, put into stasis for safe transport and shipped in crates. Ryo's in the cargo hold when they're brought aboard - he's going to be in charge of the anorganic matter lab, and he's determined to do a flawless job right from the start.

If I could come up with ideas for short stories, things might be a different, but this thing would not be short, and I don't need to deal with more craziness. ;-)

Hm, possibly this is the result of the phenomenon we've recently observed in the whorefic, where readers judge the characters far more kindly than their creators. :-)

I honestly hadn't considered Ryo's actions here as being in any way nice... I mean, he could definitely have done worse, yes. But... cute?

I guess you just can't fight the cuteness in JE. ;-)

Ah, I see! Yes... in a way it is. :-) I hadn't actually thought Ryo was being nice, exactly, by just ignoring the slave's shortcomings and fucking him anyway, but... yeah, from a certain point of view. I guess... *g*

The company is the actual owner, legally represented by the captain in this instance. And there are almost always all-new slaves for every new expedition - yeah, it cuts down on the boredom.

It ends here because if it didn't, it would be an epic - and yes, I do carry the plot around in my head, complete with Gackt as the insane space pirate general, dramatic revelations, mysterious pasts and all of the sex and battles in zero grav you can shake a stick at :-)

But. Seriously. I would love to read this story, but I don't have time to indulge myself with writing it. I have way too many other unfinished writing projects.
