It's renewed. They announced that during the airing of the finale.

I don't have any thinky thoughts about it because I haven't been paying close enough attention. I might go back and rewatch over the summer.

That's great news! :-) Thank you for letting me know!

I really enjoyed HTGAWM because it's somewhat out of the box, and has a heavy emphasis on characterization and fucked-up characters. That kind of thing always gets me. *g* You didn't think it was that interesting, though?

I didn't really have a problem with it ending up being Frank. It didn't bother me that we didn't see him and Sam conspiring, because that might have made it seem too obvious. But we have seen Frank do more and more shady things that when I look back in it, I feel like yeah I probably should have suspected Frank already. I honestly thought it would end up being Bonnie.

I don't really think Oliver was thinking rationally in that moment, so I don't think he'd thought out what he'd said. I assume that he just hoped that it was possible that Connor had it. Not necessarily that Connor got it from Oliver or gave it to Oliver, but just happened to have been infected by someone else, just like Oliver was infected by someone else.

I like Michaela better than when the show started. My favorites are Asher, Connor, Oliver. I'm liking Bonnie a bit more. I think the relationship with Asher could start to humanize her a bit more and she'll stop be so serious always.

I wouldn't say I have a problem with Frank as the murderer; it was certainly made very clear that he was capable of it ahead of time, as you say! I just think the series chose a rather clumsy, non-clever and unsatisfying way of having the identity of the murderer come as a surprise, when the rest of the set-up wasn't clumsy, non-clever or unsatisfying at all ( ... )

I don't think you can always have all the pieces in a mystery, especially one that's going to keep going for multiple seasons. For me, I'm fine with learning about Frank's connection to Sam next season. It's one of the things keeping me intrigued. For me, I definitely had an a-ha moment with Frank. I thought all the shady stuff with him all season didn't mean anything, but it seemed to now have a purpose. I could have easily bought him doing it for Annalise, but him doing it for Frank is an interesting twist.

I think revealing it to be Bonnie could have been interesting, but would have been just as obvious as Sam given how suspicious she was acting in this episode and some of her behavior prior.

Definitely surprised at how layered Asher became, never thought that would happen and that he would be my favorite.

Wes has never done it for me because of how underdeveloped he is and that didn't change by the end of the season.
