A most delightful piece of mail fluttered our way earlier this week, courtesy of Marylynn and Erwin Loepki. It was the church bulletin of St. Barnabas the Apostle Church in Belmore, Long Island, New York

Joe and his sons climbed Snowy Mtn in November and said the "trail/creekbed" was difficult to hike on then as it was completely frozen over, but they made it up and back in almost 5 hours. They said at one point they were climbing on their hands and knees and that the ski poles and walking sticks helped! I on the other hand chose to stay home where it was warm and study! :)

It's definitely a hands and knees climb in almost any weather. The lads emerged from the woods with more than a few mud streaks!
