You know, people have been predicting the death of one party or another for years and years. The Liberal Democrats here were reduced to an 8-person rump in Parliament, and yet they made gains in the local elections last week. I remember back in the early 70's when people were predicting that the Republican party in the US would take over as the "natural party of government". Well, Donald J Trump was much younger then. Whenever I see an article like the one that you cited above about the future of the NDP I reach for the salt shaker for a very large grain.
