Rat is such a good character, especially for one created on the fly. He's well rounded and very human.

He's a little bit of a self insert, even though it took Shad pointing it out for me to notice. I guess that's because he was made on the fly. He and Whitey are the only characters in this list that came together fast, but I've had others like that turn out well.

Except that he's good with kids. He really does need to meet Charlotte sometime. He strikes me as a little bit like the flip side of Elijah, without the illness; calm where he's nervous, takes weirdness in stride where Elijah can't accept it. But they both like music and children...

You know who I'd love to see Shad play in Dark City? The reimprint of Karl Harris. We have no idea what he's like, of course, except that he gave his seat up to Anna on the bus at the end of the film. /random
