Thank you!

A conlang is a made up language. The kind I like are artlangs, languages created for a hobby or artistic purposes, such as novels or movies. Like Na'vi for Avatar or Dothraki for Game of Thrones.

Oooohhh! Now everything you have ever written about conlang makes sense! Ha! If you ever feel like you need something to write about I would love to know some of the tools you use and your process, I have a language (actually quite a bit of them) I need to construct for a series.

"I have lost 32lbs."

Congratulations!

"I'M CONLANGING AGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIN."

Another congrats!

"I craft each word "by hand" so it's a slow process, even if I'm using foreign language dictionaries and Awkwords for inspiration. But it's incredibly satisfying."

I have to do each word "by hand." I'm too much of a perfectionist to do otherwise. I too have been using foreign language dictionaries for inspiration, for FairyLang. I use Irish, Welsh, Danish and German ones (the places where the fairy tales I'm drawing inspiration from come from). The problem with Danish and German is that they're too similar to English, so I can't draw from them as much.

Thanks on both counts!

Heh! We both have similar styles of generation, I guess! With mine, I tend to "blend" languages that aren't near each other (geographically) whatsoever (at least I try). Norseni mostly pulls from French, Hindi, and Korean (mostly for grammar). However, I morph the words so much that I don't think it's noticeable.
