Movie Review in 20 words or less: District 9

District 9: Satisfying and visually interesting parable and parallel, the plot holes kind of chewed at me though.

More realistic: U.S. would demand access to the ship under threat of crushing S. Africa with embargo and sanctions, as it is potentially a weapon of mass destruction.

If S. Africa had the balls they would have enslaved the Prawns and forced them to use their ship as best as they could as a military defense, in addition to the infantry weaponry.

Regardless of which government had access to the ship, it would have crawling with human scientists testing the alien technology, with a gun to the head of any decently intelligent Prawn forcing them to demonstrate whatever they knew.

And the humans never found the Command Module. Really?

Speaking of the command module, it sure was handy that it dropped right in the heart of District 9.
