This AM I read the coolest character name I've ever read outside of the Douglas Adams cannon. I was reading this short story called, "Immolation," by Jeffrey Thomas, in the collection The New Weird (eds. Ann and Jeff Vandermeer), and the protagonist's name is -- are you sitting down? -- Magnesium Jones. Is that not an awesome name ( Read more... )

wyldegrey wrote a book in which one character is named Lexicon Jones. I prefer that one.

And the best character name of all time is still Hiro Protagonist.
