So, I'm going to Wizard World's Chicago Comic Con in August, and I'm planning two different costumes. The first is an adaptation of my Halloween costume because I don't feel like dying my hair again. If I'm seeing it right, you could probably baste the yellow leotard over the black unitard 1/4" inward from the lines of color blocking, then cut away the excess yellow with an allowance of maybe 1/2", fold/tuck and pin that flap under itself and blindstitch or topstitch, then maybe remove basting. tada!

If I understand your terminology, I think that's what I'm planning on doing. It's part of why I decided to order a leotard instead of make it myself from yellow cloth. (That & so the colors would match exactly with the gloves.) I'm mostly hoping I can figure out the lines well enough & stitch straight enough to not look messy. (I don't think I know anyone out here with a machine.) Also I hope the yellow has a high enough neckline, or it will be awkward. (It was hard to tell from their picture online.)
