Chicago Comic Con

So, I'm going to Wizard World's Chicago Comic Con in August, and I'm planning two different costumes. The first is an adaptation of my Halloween costume because I don't feel like dying my hair again. I'm going to be a character from True Blood: Amy-Jason's V-addicted girlfriend who worked at Merlotte's for a while.

The more complicated one is I am going to be Mirage (Danielle Moonstar) from the New Mutants. I bought awesome moccasin boots, a belt, and a black unitard already. I've ordered a yellow leotard and gloves online, & when I get them I'll have to modify the yellow leotard to make it the right shape. I'm a bit nervous because it's the most extensive sewing I've done in a long time, probably the most I've ever done by myself. Hopefully it'll turn out well.

For better or for worse it's not the most recognizable character, but I think it'll definitely be clear that I'm in costume. & if it looks decent it'll be easy to modify in the future to be a different New Mutant if I decide that I want to.
