Ohhh, you have no idea how delighted I am upon seeing this. Not just because they used a cool Imogen Heap song, but also because I was a color guard nerd 3 years ago for about 7 years of my life since high school. *sighs* The memories. I always loved showcase events and the battle of the bands.
Me too! I couldn't join color guard or the marching band because they practiced really hard during the summer (I'm heat intolerant), and I couldn't do that much walking around and dancing. But my brother was in the marching band, and I used to go and watch all of his events. I miss doing that.
I fell out twice on two different summers during camp. This is here in Louisiana. Talk about SWELTERING. I get overheated so easily. I only remember the people appearing to sway before me....before I saw the black spots. Then I realized that I was the one doing the swaying because I was sprawled out on the field. Ugh!
Nope, I was in chorus in Middle School, though. I wanted to be in Chorus in HS, but they did too much dancing and such for me to be in it (I have heart problems). And being under the hot lights on stage would have made me pass out (and I was always on the top row, too. It sucked)
I did marching band for 4 years in High school. It was grueling work, but I wouldn't trade a second of it for anything else.
I think it would be super cool to see a professional marching band do something like this. This school seems to have a small band (ours was something like 150 members) and something a little bigger might have a bigger sound, a little more dominant. But still, all things considered, they did awesome. Holy moly. *luv*

Did you play an instrument? Or spun flags before?
