Writer's block: the name game

Restiva's been my username for 10ish years now. It was something I first came up with as a teenager - I took the word restive, which I liked both for it's literal meaning (impatient of control, restraint, or delay, as persons; restless; uneasy) and the fact it sounded a bit like festive, and swapped the 'e' for an 'a'. How do you pronounce it? I pronounce it (in my mind) Spanish style, with an "ee" for the "i", so as in Rest-ee-va, which is not like restive or festive in English. I started doing that before you told me the story behind it, and now I find it hard to change...

(I wrote an entry a long time ago about my username - it relates to a bad guy in a computer game I wanted to write as a teenager - they are a jokey evil genius, who happens to be little more than a damp sponge - of the cleaning the sink type - it's what I think is funny - the joke being the ridiculousness of the whole thing - I was a little less radical as a teenager...).

I think I read that post! And yes, I'd also pronounce it Rest-ee-va, despite it's origins.
