FATE MAKES REVENGE?

Jan 13, 2006 09:43

Okay, dudes, FATE is totally MAKING REVENGE in a lot of ways I'm not cool with! (For those of you who don't know, FATE MAKES REVENGE is a recent Esta-ism that foodsthatcan, fizzybottlecap and I love. Esta says that FATE will MAKE REVENGE at the Olympics, mostly on skaters bearing the BLACK MARK OF TARASSOVA, i.e., skaters who have been coached or choreographed by Russian ( Read more... )

"This isn't fair! I have no idea who this person is!" I paused the game and looked at the slip and the name sounded vaguely familiar, but I agreed that the person wasn't famous enough and said she could toss that one out and keep going. There was loud protest for one of the teams, and I was like, "Who is this Tom person?!" and they were all, "He's famous! He's in HEDLEY!"

HAHAHAHAHAHA.

*gets serious* Stop the world. I want to get off.

OB, Rosie x 100000000000000!!!!!!!

Also, I hope Tanith crows about her citizenship for the next year. She knows she's the recipient of a MIRAKEL, and she'd best not forget it! I'd be really ticked if so many people went to such great lengths to help her become naturalized and she acted completely indifferently about it. (Not to mention, anyone who becomes a citizen of another country ought to be happy or at least appreciative about it.)

MY HUSBAND is HOTT even though he robs cradles!!! That is all.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HEDLEY HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was really tempted to delete this, but I will leave it just to say this:

Not to mention, anyone who becomes a citizen of another country ought to be happy or at least appreciative about it.Uh, when said person is getting citizenship for the sole purpose of skating in the Olympics and probably a) would not have bothered otherwise and b) most likely has no plans to stay once her career is over, I think gushing endlessly about how great it is to be a citizen is a little hypocritical ( ... )

Yo, brej, you know I'm all about the Canadian pride and all, and even though I may not know the details of the situation - aside from what you two, and some random articles I've been skimming have told me - I think I'm with Nikki on this one. Regardless of what Tanith's reasons were for wanting to get citizenship, and even if she never would have tried to get citizenship if it wasn't for the whole Olympics debacle, I think it would be completely disrespectful of her not to be displaying excitement and appreciation for it.

I mean, I'm really not sure I like the idea of someone being given special treatment just because they're an athlete and they need to compete in the Olympics, because I know of so many people who have had to wait much longer for the same thing, and it really isn't fair or right that her stuff got worked out so quickly. But she did get her citizenship and I don't think there's anything wrong with her being happy about it. Just because she's showing that she's happy/proud/whatever about this, doesn't mean she's ( ... )

"Famous" and "Hedley" should never be in the same sentance. And I'm not sure if I spelled Hedley right, but I'm too lazy to scroll up and look. Such has been my week.

And be proud! I have been dipping into skating coverage in preparation for Turino. Yay!

I have to educate them about the important things! Hating Hedley is an important life lesson.

Finally someone feels the same way about Putnam and Wirtz that I do. I cried when I saw their program and their placement. Sure Jeff Buttle can get credit for all the fancy footwork when he misses the jumps but not poor Liz and Sean.

I find it extremely funny that Annabelle was actually COACHING Cody and his ex-partner last year (big long story on CTV) with Patrice and now they are skating together. Weird. Your theory is probably right.

And am I alone in not "getting" Valerie and Craig? I just don't get them. They make me yawn. But I guess they have the crown all sewn up.

I also found it extremely ironic that after going on and on with reporters last year about how a triple flip, triple toe combination was something he did in the junior ranks, Emanuel did it tonight. Mmmmm. Now if only he can land a simple triple lutz. That boy is going to make me bald by the end of this year.

I've loved Liz and Sean since I first saw them skate together, but it looks like they're being passed by other Canadian teams. I do love Jess and Bryce, too, though - I've known Jess Dube would be a star since she was about ten. At least Liz and Sean were third in the LP.

Val and Craig aren't my favourites, and yeah, they're kind of snoozy sometimes, but I've gone from actively disliking them to sort of liking them.

I laffed a lot at Eman's NOVICE LEVEL COMBO in the short, but he does have a point - why bother risking it when no one else is? The point difference between Jeffy and Eman in the end was ridiculous. I would've bitched about it, too, if I were Eman.
