maybe without getting so offended about others advice try to see where they are coming from.. If they are trying to tell you something from experience because their life got all screwed up and what not from doing something they just don't want to see you go through the same pain as them. You are allowed to make your own mistakes and learn from them just others want to help protect you from live altering misery if they can help.. ya know

i am not bothered about people giving me advice when it is about HUGE things.. like if you were to tell me im doing something that will cause him to get taken away... that i dont mind.. i do mind when it is about small things, and especially when his doctor knows about it, and its not a big deal... i understand that you had to go through hell with the state being involved in your situation... but luckily i dont have to go through that, and so when i get advice from people about small things, i do get annoyed.. and usually its about something im already knowledgeable on... i know a lot about raising kids, and what things are important and what arent.. just because im young, and a new mom, doesnt mean that i welcome advice coming from someone that isnt a doctor, or my aunt dawn...
well, i am definetly moving to north carolina.. that is all set... i just dont like the idea of it very much...

well.. just so you know.. sometimes people question what the doctors have to say because doctors have been known to be wrong. so maybe they just want to make sure that you are getting the best possible care for your child.. I know with toby my doctors with shit doctors and did everything wrong and gave me all the wrong advice.

and just a question.. why do you feel that your aunt knows more about children to give you advice than anyone else...what are you trying to say about the other people?

You are a great mom.. I doubt people handing out advice are saying the you aren't.

i know that doctors make mistakes, and thats why i have aunt dawn to fall back on... she is very knowledgeable on child care, has taken classes, done tons of research, and has raised two kids of her own.. she knows everything about everything when it comes to infant, toddles and children.. so, i trust her more than anyone else because of those reasons.. plus, she has never lead me wrong, and when she gives me advice, she never makes me feel like a dumbass, and reassures me when i do make mistakes, that any mother would have done the same...
i know that i am a great mom, but sometimes when people try to give advice, they go about it the wrong way... thats why i dont listen to anyone else...

Kelly, you are a great mom. Baby Shaun is ridiculously adorable and happy, and the whole point of being a parent is realizing that you don't have all the answers. There isn't some owners manual that comes with having a baby, so of course you're going to make mistakes, everyone does. Don't let that get to you because no one in this world is perfect and does everything right all of the time

amber, you and cher are too sweet... i do know deep down that i am a good mom, its just sometimes when people are jerks, i get down on my self i guess...
i will definetly have the internet..that is a for sure thing.. so i will be able to keep in touch with everyone.. and i plan to fly back like 3 times a year... its not that expensive...

No problem, really. I'm just telling you the truth. People usually try to drag someone else down when they're feeling crappy about themselves so just remember that and keep your head up <3

I like eating at the table when everyone sits down and talks together. but why wait for everyone to sit down? I hate when things are way too formal.

What makes Shaun so much better than you..? Like why aren't you good enough for him..? I really don't get it, and she has no reason to think it. He's LUCKY to be with you, he really is. You're the sweetest most giving, and considerate girl EVER. UGH that bugs me SO much when people don't see that!

i agree.. i dont mind sitting at a table, but when things are formal , it makes me uncomfortable...
well, she hasnt come straight out to me and said that i wasnt good enough, but her actions, or somethings that she has said, and just the overall feeling, makes me think, or know that she thinks im not good enough for him.. which obviously i dont agree with, its just obnoxious...
and like i said when i replied to amber, you both are too sweet :)

well.. I think his mom will eventually get over whatever funk she is in.. My mom's mom hated my dad and didn't want him with her daughter because he was already divorced with 2 kids and 10 years older than my mom... lots of strikes against him in her book.. yet.. she grew fond of him and no longer has an issue with him. So whatever happened with Shauns mom is alot less severe than that..so she should get over it in time.. maybe with you guys being in NC.. since you are going.. so how you guys will mend things up and grow closer. maybe... can always hope for the best right? I want so much for you to be safe and happy in NC with your baby boy. I will be there eventually too and even if I am 2 hours away know that you can call on me and I will come to you.. k..

even if we have a disagreement and fight.. never be afraid to reach out to me.. that's what friends are for.. through thick and thin.. I will be there.. GOT IT?! *huggles*
