Muuuuuuusiiiic Spaaaaam! And a request (for music)

I was suddenly all in the mood for Driving Music. You know, those songs that you hear in your car (or elsewhere) that make you want to roll down the windows and turn up the volume so the rest of people caught in traffic can enjoy. Or the songs that just beg to be played during a road trip? Yeah, those kind of songs ( Read more... )

I've found that bits of the Pirates of Caribbean soundtrack work great for driving.

I also listen to a lot of podcasts while driving.

I've heard good things about podcasts, but I always thought you needed some special gizmo like SIRIUS or some such to get them, which I don't have.

Truthfully, we don't get a lot of variety on the radio around here. FM our options are Oldies, country, 80s-90s-and Today, and Christian. I never really listened much to AM, though, aside from the state radio station and occasionally A Prairie Home Companion.

I agree with Kate the POTC sdtk is EXCELLENT for driving, esp over bridges heeheehee!

Aside from that I'm all about driving to rock, and when I drive around w/ 80s classics it makes me think of Dean from SPN so Dead or Alive by Bon Jovi, Hit Me With your Best Shot by Pat Benatar, Can't Fight This Feeling Anymore by REO Speedwagon are good. I really like Pink's You and Your Hand for driving around on Fridays *G* No Day But Today from the Rent sdtk. Every single radio station in the Tampa/St Pete area seemed to think that Hotel California was great driving music as it played every freakin time I got in the car I swear! And to continue with the random Limp Bizkit's Rollin and Break Stuff are also fun to drive to *G*

Oooo... Dead or Alive. That would be a good one. Too bad it's one of their songs that I don't have, woe.

I think POTC would be a good road trip soundtrack, but I don't have that one either, woe.

Will totally look into finding a few of the songs you mentioned above, though, thanks!

*is living in the Tampa area*

I know what you mean. Also, the 80s station here was good for a few days, until they started repeating songs every day. They claim to play stuff from the late 70s into the early 90s. That's a LOT of years of play-worthy songs, right??

I'm pretty sure they make a playlist of about 30 songs put it on shuffle and then nap and surf the internet all day at the station after that! *L*

Most of it seems to be 80s; don't know if you're a big fan of that. But there's some other stuff, too!

Thanks! For the most part, I love the 80s, so I highly doubt I will have any protest.

Whee, music! Thanks again!
