Last summer there was a flower sale at the Y in which we hadn't been able to do any advertising for because we didn't find out it was happening until the day before it happened. So, I got a bunch of nice plants for 50 cents to 1 dollar per pot/cluster/whatever those annoying plastic flimsy 4 or 6 sectioned containers are called. One of the plants

No clue what it is, but I like the color!

I made a happy squee noise when I went out on the porch a week or so ago and noticed this pretty purple flower bloom on my drapy green plant. Yay pretty flowers!

And this isn't the first time that a plant that wasn't othewise supposed to support flowering life bloomed on me. A year or two ago one of my decorative bagonias (only spelled right) with the pretty pink and green leaves sprouted a very pretty dark pink flower about the size of a quarter. I have the damndest of luck with plants that are *supposed* to flower, yet plants that aren't supposed to flower always end up flowering in my care... It's kinda weird, actually.

But again, YAY pretty flowers!
