Behold, the power of Cheese!

Oct 09, 2004 23:42

I find it amusing that, given the opportunity, Wisconsinites really can have a conversation about cheese...
CristinAnne: Bored now
pegasusrider2002: tis a hazard of living
CristinAnne: Alas
pegasusrider2002: I'm reading a Sentinel fic
pegasusrider2002: is quite good, so far
CristinAnne: I'm reading Due South fic, which is quite good.
pegasusrider2002: bit far fetched, but it's far fetched in the way that everyone secretly wants to believe in.
CristinAnne: It's just that I've been reading Due South fic for 2 days straight and, wow, bored.
pegasusrider2002: Or at least I wanna believe in. :D
pegasusrider2002: lol
CristinAnne: *g*
pegasusrider2002: poor cristin
pegasusrider2002: Between work and school, I've been writing and watching TV mostly
pegasusrider2002: Not so bored as I could be, which is always a plus
CristinAnne: True
CristinAnne: Boredom is an evil, evil thing.
pegasusrider2002: very true
CristinAnne: The bane of civilization.
pegasusrider2002: evil boredom
CristinAnne: Before civilization, we didn't have the time to be bored.
pegasusrider2002: yup
CristinAnne: We were too busy looking for roots and running away from lions.
pegasusrider2002: before civilization, we had to worry about, you know, survival and all that
pegasusrider2002: and I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of the 'wars' we've dealt out were started because someone was bored
CristinAnne: Sometimes I think it might have been easier in some ways though. Especially once we domesticated things.
CristinAnne: I mean, you had a purpose in life.
pegasusrider2002: < nods >
CristinAnne: Farm so you can eat, eat so you can farm
pegasusrider2002: life would be so much simpler
CristinAnne: Not to mention people actually had *more* free time and less stress.
CristinAnne: Sure they had shorter lifes, but they didn't work for 3/4s of them.
pegasusrider2002: THough I do rather appreciate te whole reading and writing thing that came out of it
pegasusrider2002: alas, too true
pegasusrider2002: we should look into building a time machine
CristinAnne: Or we could just hope the apocalypse comes and we survive. *bg*
pegasusrider2002: Well, that's a possibility too. :D
CristinAnne: Come on, ice age!
pegasusrider2002: we're actually due for one
CristinAnne: *nods* I know.
CristinAnne: And global warming leads to ice ages.
pegasusrider2002: I think we're also waaaay over due for another natural disaster of some kind
CristinAnne: Mmm, probably.
CristinAnne: Let's not talk about this.
CristinAnne: Let's talk about...
CristinAnne: cheese!
pegasusrider2002: damn, you beat me too it!
CristinAnne: Hee
pegasusrider2002: < snerk >
You know you're from Wisconsin when cheese is an automatic conversation starter
pegasusrider2002: I think I have Munster and coljack in the fridge
CristinAnne: But cheese makes the world go round!
pegasusrider2002: But of course!
CristinAnne: I only have some American slices and some garlic cheese spread. But I have to go to the grocery store tomorrow. *g*
pegasusrider2002: The world would be a better place if people paid as much attention to cheese as we do.
CristinAnne: Peace through cheese!
pegasusrider2002: Well, I think we have some ancient cheddar somewhere in the fridge
pegasusrider2002: one of those with the super thick plastic-kinda rind
pegasusrider2002: I think it's at least 10 years old
pegasusrider2002: bet it's reeeeeeeeally really sharp by now. :D
CristinAnne: Heh
pegasusrider2002: Make Cheese, not war!
CristinAnne: And then we could advertise cheese together with wine, and combine that with a little sex... we could take over the world!
pegasusrider2002: "Bring out the wine, and cut the cheese!"
pegasusrider2002: THough I personally would rather have cheese then wine
pegasusrider2002: cheese and crackers
pegasusrider2002: mmmm, good eatin there
pegasusrider2002: or cheese and pretzels is good, too
CristinAnne: Or even better a good cheese with a freshly baked loaf of bread.
pegasusrider2002: oooo, yum
pegasusrider2002: Actually, iwas just having flash backs to that yummy cheese soup in the bread bowls that we had at the Ren fair a few years ago
CristinAnne: *g*
pegasusrider2002: Bread and cheese, two of my favorite foods in the world!
pegasusrider2002: even better when put together. ;)
pegasusrider2002: I really do need to make a shirt that says "Yes, cheese really is that important"
pegasusrider2002: cause... so true
CristinAnne: Oh yes.
pegasusrider2002: at least if your from Wisconsin
CristinAnne: No, no, from anywhere.
CristinAnne: Because cheese is the foundation of the world.
CristinAnne: Cheese is the basis for human existence!
pegasusrider2002: Behold, the power of Cheese!
pegasusrider2002: Very few can resist the intising allure of cheese
pegasusrider2002: even those who are allergic to it!
pegasusrider2002: Cause there's medication youc an buy over the counter so you can enjoy the wonders of cheese even though you're allergic to dairy
pegasusrider2002: that would be such a sad existence, dude
pegasusrider2002: I can't even picture how life would be without cheese
CristinAnne: It would be a sad and mournful existence.
pegasusrider2002: hell, I had enough trouble living without it for all of two hours when I was on some sort of medication for a nasty cough I had developed a year or two ago
pegasusrider2002: Had to wait two hours after each dose before I could eat cheese or any other form of dairy
pegasusrider2002: and since I was supposed to take the doses before meals? So wrong!
pegasusrider2002: no meal is complete without cheese

Though there is a chance Cristin and I are just special cases when it comes to Wisconsinites in general (me living here and Cristin growing up here), I highly doubt it. In Wisconsin, yes, cheese really *is* that important. ;D

And I shall stop spamming LJ now.

cristin, wisconsin, convo, cheese, you know you live in wisconsin when
