I told you all on Sunday night how we had spent 5 hours making cookies. Well, here's some of the pictures I took, cause it's been awhile since my last Pic Spam.
Your cookies are gorgeous! Iiiii have a quick question, though -- what recipe did you use? I tried the one out of the bag (Duncan Hines, I think it was) and the dough was really wet. I had to refrigerate it over night before I could make cut outs. Any tips?
It was a recipe my roommate had. I will definitely pass it along whenever she gets around to emailing it to me.
The cut out cookie dough was pretty sticky when we started, too, but in a tip I learned from my gramma, I sprinkled a bunch of flour on the table where we were going to roll the dough out, and then I sprinkled some more on top of the dough so it wouldn't stick to the rolling pin. Then I kept sprinkling flour over the table and the dough whenever it started getting too sticky again. By the time you're getting down to the end of the supply, it does make the dough pretty dry, but it still tastes the same once they come out of the oven.
COOKIES! :D They look great! Yes, what recipe did you use? I'm going to be baking this weekend (chocolate cake from scratch, omg) and may want to make some sugar cookies/cutouts.
