Dinner with Kame in my Japanese Textbook

Sep 08, 2007 20:26

I could barely contain my laughter while sitting in Japanese class on Thursday as Kame peeked out from my Japanese textbook.  I was dying, and I couldn't share it with anyone!!  I was snorting with each new sentence, looking around the classroom to see if anyone caught me/was with me. I will translate a part of the passage we read in class (or ( Read more... )

Oh my goddess! Whenever I play scrabble, or just read anything, how I wish the letters T-U-R-T-L-E pop up!

and...my goddess again! You just tasted turtle? WHUT? and it tastes good? (save the turtles!!! Y_Y)

I love when the names we know pop up in odd places! The usual name I see in my textbook is Yamashita-sensei, who of course I always picture as Yamapi. My favorite sentence from last year was "Yamashita-sensei is scary!"

I'm like Amy-san. If I find out I'm about to eat turtle, I probably won't be able to eat it. Baby turtles! Baby Kames! Someone would have to trick me like they did Amy-san. XD

sorry I deleted my first comment. wanted to change icons XD

It's alright! Awhile ag, we went to a Chinese restaurant, and I saw Kame swimming in an aquarium, then I suddenly remembered you! I asked the waitresses if they also cook the turtles, good thing, they only use them for display.

But I was imagining a lot! XD

I always start giggling randomly when any of their kanji names pop up in whatever I'm reading. "仁" appears a lot for me, but never in a way as hilarious as your Kame passage xDDD

Well, in that vein, I do see 赤 and 西 and 手(手越の手) a lot. In fact, I did quite well on those kanji quizzes. Thanks Johnny, for helping me pass Japanese!
