New Rule: If you're an author of cartoons or comics in any way, and if you feel the need to do a holiday-themed episode, please do not make the focus of that episode a gun-wielding Santa. Actually, Sluggy first introduced the gun-toting Santa in 1997, long before either Zim or Futurama. Of course, Sluggy has now been doing to for so long that I could see it feeling overdone now.

I was about to post the same thing. Sluggy Freelance did the homicidal Santa prior to Futurama (I didn't look it up, but I was thinking Christmas 1997).

When Sluggy was still funny, that is. Did I mention I have the first Sluggy shirt ever? ("Why would you want to microwave evil?")

Fuck. That was a decade ago. FUCK.

You're right, of course. I didn't start reading Sluggy 'til much later. But, back then it was still funny.

I used to have a Torg Dreamfighters shirt. Gift from GoD. Heh.

The other day I was toying with the notion of getting back into Sluggy. I haven't read it in years, and I'd have to start over at the beginning.

If it sucks now, maybe I won't.
