That made me tear up =( I had heard about this before but without this much detail.
The problem is ludicrous policies and political pussyfooting. I can't even begin to explain how angry it makes me that any of this happened and that any of the kids have suffered this kind of bullying. How angry I am with people like Michele Bachmann and how much I hate that she's associated with MN. How frustrated I am that the religious right is trying to push forward an amendment to the MN constitution that would make marriage legal only between a man and a woman. All this, and Minneapolis (right by Anoka County) is the 4th largest LGBT community in the States if you go according to percentage of population that is LGBTQ. It's ludicrous that any of this shit is happening anywhere near there.
I didn't go to high school in Minnesota but I consider it to be my home. Where I went to school, even since elementary school I remember kids calling me a lesbian at times. I was teased occasionally in high school about being gay, even before I knew I was gay
