This is an awful story. In school we had to face clause 28 some years ago which banned the so called promotion of 'gay lifestyles'. I ignored it. ON my wall I have pictures of John Barrowman as himself and as Captain Jack. My love for JB is well known. It saddens me that teachers were in fear of losing their jobs because of these bigots.

This is part of what scares me about coming out. My family, I can handle. Individuals and small groups, I can handle. But a whole school district? A whole population of people who want to hate me for being different? Hate my family for my being different?

I'm going to be a teacher in a couple of months. If the school I work at doesn't have a GSA, I'm fucking starting one. >:(
