Yay! My Torchwood fic got remixed!

I really liked the original of this one and it was amazingly well received by the fandom so I'm thrilled to see it get another go 'round thanks to remixing.

This version is heartbreaking - the most painful moment in all of CoE and you've captured it at the precise few seconds where we feel so achingly for Jack in his loss as he faces his own death - one that offers him no comfort of peace as it does for normal people. As much as I curse RTD /toddlerfists/ for killing off Ianto, I still appreciate what you've done with this moment, making the grief resonate so strongly even as there's a fading away to nothingness.

Thank you for a wonderfully written story and thank you for choosing Torchwood to remix out of all of my fandoms!

Well, I chose Torchwood as a matter of practicality. The only fandoms you've written in that I'm familiar with are Torchwood and Dollhouse, and I've never written Dollhouse before, so I figured Torchwood was the safe way to go.

I absolutely loved this moment in CoE - I don't think anything on television has ever made me cry that much. I liked the idea in your piece of Ianto marking the passage of time, both as a steadying beat and as a reminder that his days are numbered. Then, finally, the metronome stops.

I had a lot of fun with this. :)

I've had my Dollhouse remixed, so TW was perfect. I was SO mad at RTD then /toddlerfists/ but you did a really wonderful job melding that heartbreaking moment with the feel of my original fic.
