When she's on her own (in her car, at the gym), Allison listens to brainless bubblegum pop: everyone young and going to live forever. She doesn't particularly like the piano. Her parents made her take lessons from the time she was five until she convinced them that debate team would look better on college applications. To this day, piano sounds like wasted afternoons in Mrs. Hubbles' overheated living room/studio, like the boredom of endless scales. House doesn't know and she never tells him: she doesn't like the piano, but she likes the way he is when he plays it.
