Oh, wow. This is really, really well-written and ouchy, and the characterization is amazing.

House's pain and guilt over Wilson, and his frustration at not being able to crack Foreman, just ripples beautifully underneath the words. I love joe_pike_junior's original, and this is the perfect complement to it.

What an amazing piece of work. You capture both the characters so well, keeping them as harsh as their tv characters but also people the reader can empathize with. House's pain and grief and despair come through very clearly, what a burden he has to carry...I got totally caught up in reading this. (and I shed a little tear at Wilson's funeral) House dragging himself to Wilson's funeral although he can hardly walk is a nice contrast to his reluctance to attend his fathers. Fantastic!

Oh, wow. This is spectacular. Dark and sharp and painful. You've got me believing that this is really the way it unfolded -- that it was Wilson who came to House's rescue and died for it. (I realize that premise was in the original story, not just your remix, but it's the remix that makes me really buy it.) The details here ground the story in something amazingly like real life. Your House sounds like House, thinks like House -- his twisted logic, his anger, his suffering. I love your Foreman for being so staunchly...himself. I grieve for this Wilson. But mostly I grieve for this House. Holy wow.
