Eeeeeee! I love everything about this! I love all the natural feeling glimpses into the crew, and how the carnival hours are so fun and easy from the best times they had. Like if things hadn't gone bad in Safe or the celebration in OMR. It's gorgeous as a stand-alone fic, but on a personal note, I absolutely adore how you took bits and scraps from my silly flash crackfic, and made it into something shiny, yet in the spirit of the remix challenge, still retained a recognizable superstructure.
In my book, this fic represents the best of the best of what playing with each others' toys is all about.
Thank you sooo much! What wonderous feedback to receive, and what a delightful end to me figuratively biting my fingernails about how you, the original author, would feel about my efforts. Seriously, what high praise! *blushes* I am all a-glow, thank you! And thank you for writing this -- I really never would have been able to construct it without your backbone (it was actually surprisingly easy to write, once I had figured out my approach. It was really neat to see immediately, how rewriting this in my voice would work, though originally in my head it was told more through River's eyes, fragmentarily and out of sequence, but I couldn't seem to get that to work

Oh, this is wonderful! So many lovely character moments, it was great fun to read this and feel like I was catching a little snippet of an episode we never quite saw.
Really cute! The entire idea of the Firefly crew running around a fair just made me grin like crazy.
But, oddly, what stood out the most for me is that you have a hell of a Book voice. I mean, all the characters were very well written, but I got to Book's small part and it was like BAM! I could hear it in my head perfectly. So, special kudos on that!
Thank you very much! I'm so glad it put a smile on your face (like your comment does on mine).
Thank you! Book's voice was the one I was most unsure of, here (and I don't think I had ever written him before), and the one I could least hear in my head, so that is utterly fantastic to hear! And also, bonus points for the use of the word kudos;)
