TBH, I wasn't very sure of this fic myself when I first started writing it. The scenes were all over the place and it wasn't being very coherent...that, and the topic of Hangeng leaving has been run to the ground in fandom, I'm sure. But when I was watching YouTube videos of Heechul's "Spirit" solo and read the lyrics, I was completely convincedthinking that maybe it was a subtle message to Geng?

And a Psychology major does weird things to the way you write. Seriously. I have not written a happy fic since T_T

I was sort of afraid that Heechul was going to be OOC, because I was concentrating more on the actual stages of grief, rather than his personality. I console myself with accounts that Heechul, indeed, pulled out of all his schedules for three months and all those sad Cyworld posts where he drinks and thinks about Gengall the sad things in life.

And he cried. Heechul's really just a sensitive person when you hit the right nerve.

One thing that was stopping me from posting this earlier was because Geng's leaving was long enough ago that perhaps hundreds on thousands of fics have spawned from it. I usually don't like writing fics on overdone topics. But when the muse calls, one must answer 8D

I remember there being a lot of mentioning how Eunhyuk was the one who helped him out during that time. I took care in working that in :D And the last scene with Ryeowook was based on something he said on Youngstreet about how Ryeowook made him eat when he wasn't feeling well. I love how close SuJu are!!

I couldn't leave the fic on a depressing note...it would've been too sad. And untrue. Cos it's Heechul and Heechul always gets better in the end!
