The library was not the most traditonal of rooms to decorate for Christmas, but it was large and cozy with big armchairs and a log fire and was, unless the Tardis decided to move it, situated conveniently close to the console room. With two garishly wrapped presents under her arms, she grinned at Tegan, "You've certainly got the Christmas spirit." She paused, "Unless that's some sort of disease or beverage."

"I wasn't going to. I didn't go to that party, not after the last one. But I figured that I might as well give you a present anyway and partake in the enjoyment of holiday foods." She grinned, holding out a package to Tegan.

Half-standing up, she took the present her friend was holding out and examined it, smiling. "Thanks." Tegan turned it over in her hands for a moment, then set it down on the table and gestured towards the box of chocolates and plate of mince pies that she'd been eating before Nyssa came in, "Have something to eat."
