The Doctor
listened to Jamie discuss Zoe's last whereabouts thoughtfully, sipping at his tea intermittently as he did. "Right, the Golden Gate bridge," the Doctor mused. He set his tea down. "Well, she's clearly not there anymore. I'd guess she's not anywhere near here, even. She's a bright girl, you know. She'd have found you, or at least one of me, by now. No, no, something must have happened to her."
And just then, his pocket began vibrating. It was such a shock that he leapt to his feet, in surprise. "Oh my word!" he exclaimed, twisting about in surprise, thinking something had attached itself to him. "Oh dear me!" he cried again. Then he realized it was his pocket buzzing and not an attack at all. He burst into giddy laughter, and pulled out the little box with the blinking red light on top of it, that Jamie had shown him in the TARDIS, and which he'd pocketed. "Hello, what's this?" he asked.
He pressed a new flashing light and suddenly Zoe appeared on the little monitor. "Oh! Oh, Jamie! Look!" He quickled shifted his position, so Jamie could see, too. The pair
watched the recording silently. The Doctor's frown deepened and deepened as the message wore on. When it reached it's conclusion, there was a pause and it began to repeat. The Doctor shut it off and sat down, his brow furrowed in concern. "Well, I suppose we've just found our answer. Of a sort."
