sometimes people focus on the bad because they care about you and want you to do good, so you can get farther.

i thinking of it in more of a worldwide, society context actually. Not personal. It can be applied that way but more society was my aim.

but that can be applied both ways. oftentimes, when i see people focusing on "bad things" or the negatives people as a whole "comit" (homosexuality, swingers... whatever) it's because they want you to change, to be "better" because, duh, obviously if youre gay you're not doing very well

I know it can be applied that way but the whole purpose of my post was to focus on the aspect of society as a whole rather than the indiviual. I'm not saying it doesn't appply just not what I was trying to say exactly.

You know exaclty how I handle things like this, because you handle them the same way. Fuck them! You can take those people that are being shot down and with one word of encouragement they can become the greatest artist, or the newest musician, a brilliant scientist or anything else. The only thing that keeps someone from doing what htey want to the best they can is people that take them down from the height that was allowing them to achieve those things. *cough*Jensen*cough*

If you see someone being criticized for something, make sur eyou compliment them for it or related things very soon after and everyday, because you may be the person who helps them keep attitudes like ours.
