I fucking hate how society shoots down people all the time breaks peoples will. I will never fucking stoop to that. I recognize my faults but I recognize what is good inside my heart and no one can ever make me feel different. I'm sick of going to school hearing about who I should be what I should be doing. I'm going to be me, I'm going to take the ( Read more... )

sometimes people focus on the bad because they care about you and want you to do good, so you can get farther.

i thinking of it in more of a worldwide, society context actually. Not personal. It can be applied that way but more society was my aim.

but that can be applied both ways. oftentimes, when i see people focusing on "bad things" or the negatives people as a whole "comit" (homosexuality, swingers... whatever) it's because they want you to change, to be "better" because, duh, obviously if youre gay you're not doing very well ( ... )

I know it can be applied that way but the whole purpose of my post was to focus on the aspect of society as a whole rather than the indiviual. I'm not saying it doesn't appply just not what I was trying to say exactly.

i dont agree, but some people think that by living a gay lifestyle, you're not capable of living a good, productive life. they're focusing on the bad, and trying to make you do "better".

a lot of people also think that their kids shouldnt be gay because its not a very fun life, really. i know its not a choice, but its not fun to be beaten up constantly, harassed, and called awful names. i'm not saying that gay people should just stop so they dont have to go through that, but it's what a lot of parents are concerned about for their kids. a lot of gay people, when they first come out to their parents, hear "could you not? you know, so you dont end up dead."

well it's not like the 50's anymore so it's not as bad. a lot more tolerance and acceptance ((acceptance better)). Although it should be pushed more in schools. For a second I thought you were going to say that being gay was BAD. I was about to shit myself.
