Cannot express how much I loved this. Jamie is the best, and I'm so glad you've given him a happy ending like this. Also, I congratulate you on your Scots. I love Scots, love reading it, hearing it, attempting to speak it :o) (strangely enough, the only way I can manage a Scottish accent is to read Burns aloud - been out of England eleven years and never lost the accent). The way you write Jamie and his family is marvellous. I also love their names *grins* Jamie's a sentimental old sod, isn't he?

Thanks so much! I've always loved Jamie myself, and I've been indulging in a lot of Second Doctor dvd's of late, so Jamie has been hanging about in my brain more than usual, as it were ...

Also, I congratulate you on your Scots.

Heh - thanks! Have to confess that I'm a bit of a cheat - I do occasion have the Scottish boyfriend read bits over (and over and over) aloud so I can write it down phonetically ... and I think he actually called up his father for a few words when I wouldn't leave him alone about the dialect, too ... ;)

I love this story. You tell it beautifully. I really got a feel for Jamie and his family, especially Ben. Jamie's remembering at the end--gorgeous. A beautiful happy ending for him after all the Time Lords took from him. And now, perhaps, he can go on one last adventure before his life is done.

Normally, btw, I don't like accents spelled out, but Scottish is different. Helps me hear it in my head. I thought the whole story flowed with a great deal of poetry. Beautiful!

So glad you enjoyed it! It always seemed terribly unfair that they took it all from Jamie - especially as he really did love travelling with the Doctor. I always wanted him to have one more chance ...

Glad to hear the dialect wasn't too distracting, too - I went back and forth on that for a bit. The accent is so distinct, it seemed important enough to leave in, but I was worried that it'd just be too much.
