[Leloouch can be found sitting; he's already got everything laid out in front of him and is trying to mentally brace himself. Coming up to him is fine though. He might even appreciate it because he is a bit nervous.]

[ Riku almost just opens the door, before he decides to knock on the door with the back of his hand, using his knuckles, only coming in then. when he spots Lelouch, there's an uncomfortable sense of familiarity--but he dismisses it. he's seen people like him back home, after all. ]

Professor Lamperouge, yeah?

[ he questions, voice carrying a thin North-English accent and a stress on words that seems decidedly Japanese. ]

Riku Yamamoto, sir. [ he walks over with a taught fluidity--nothing like being taught how to hold yourself with a certain sense of confidence. of course, all the while, he's somewhat holding his breath. he already can tell that Lelouch is an English native, and given how popular the Yamamoto cruise line is in England... well, he has a hope. ]

[Lelouch knows from experience that the worst way to approach a subject is by shoving theory down someone's throat. So, after he's done with the preminliaries -- the usual greeting and introduction, Lelouch, just asks]

What does philosophy mean to you? [He pauses and decides to wait. Sure, he could ask me ... but he doesn't want to overload anyone from the get-go.]
