[Leloouch can be found sitting; he's already got everything laid out in front of him and is trying to mentally brace himself. Coming up to him is fine though. He might even appreciate it because he is a bit nervous.]

[ Riku almost just opens the door, before he decides to knock on the door with the back of his hand, using his knuckles, only coming in then. when he spots Lelouch, there's an uncomfortable sense of familiarity--but he dismisses it. he's seen people like him back home, after all. ]

Professor Lamperouge, yeah?

[ he questions, voice carrying a thin North-English accent and a stress on words that seems decidedly Japanese. ]

Yes. [Lelouch looks up, grateful that someone knocked rather than just talking out of the blue --]

And you would be? [He is a bit curious; he can pick out the interesting accent immediately -- and it's rare, this amalgamation of English and Japanese]

Riku Yamamoto, sir. [ he walks over with a taught fluidity--nothing like being taught how to hold yourself with a certain sense of confidence. of course, all the while, he's somewhat holding his breath. he already can tell that Lelouch is an English native, and given how popular the Yamamoto cruise line is in England... well, he has a hope. ]

Riku Yamamoto, yes? [He pauses, he's heard that name somewhere before, but it's vague right now, and -- for the time being -- not really that important.] You're ... English, aren't you?

[Lelouch shrugs his shoulders.] And you're not really disturbing.

Mm-- [ he stands a little straighter, . ] I'm from Liverpool.

It's good to know, sir. I just--have something I need to tell you before class starts.

I'm from London [He smiles] Been a while since I've last been there though.

Sure, feel free to tell me.

[curepotion]

[ he relaxes visibly. ah, a Londoner. Okay, he can work with that. though, he's visibly uncomfortable as he speaks, not really wanting to broadcast his illness but having to. ]

I have to take medicine ten minutes from the end of class, so I have to miss it. I've been told I have to make sure each teacher knows. I don't know if you'd like me to make up for those minutes before class or not.

No, you don't have to make up. [He sighs, a bit uncomfortable about this - not because he minds Riku’s state, but because it’s a bit awkward to be told something so ... evidently personal. And he can tell it’s not easy for Riku at all] Just make sure to take those medications, and if there’s anything important that you’ll miss, I’ll just let you know, okay?

But, even if I'm new to teaching, I can assure you that, usually, the last ten minutes of a lesson usually comprise of discussion.

[curepotion]

[ well, he's awkward for his teacher, then. he sharply nods in agreement to what he says, though his mind is wandering. he was sure he could recognize Lelouch from somewhere. ]

[Lelouch is glad that's done with. So much that the way Riku is looking at him doesn't raise the suspicions it should. ]

You don't have to thank me. Is there anything else? [Because Riku looks like he has something else to say.]

[curepotion]

Are you... [ uh, no, he shakes his head. ] Sorry. No, nothing else.

[He should shrug it off, but it interests him] Am I what?

[He smiles, thinking he's got it figured out now] It's not quite unlikely that we might have met somewhere before. [Not really a lie: Lelouch was dragged to many parties and business meetings while still living in England] But it's really been a while, and you must have been much younger than you are now -- [Right. Because he can't be older than sixteen, seventeen, and Lelouch clamps his mouth shut because he’s getting really close to revealing too much about himself.] Right. As, I said, you don't have to worry about leaving class earlier.

[curepotion]

[ Riku squints his eyes at him, the words sticking to him. but the Yamamoto company has not ... had any dealings with the Lamperouge company. in fact, he's pretty sure a Lamperouge company doesn't exist in his family's files--but he knows... he knows there's something weird about this, like he has seen--or met Lelouch before. his shoulders stiffen and he sighs. ]

[Lelouch does note the suspicion in Riku’s eyes, and is really grateful that he did shut up before he got close to saying he was a Vi Britannia. Because while the Yamamoto company might not know any Lamperouges, the name Vi Britannia would ring bells immediately. Wanting to dispel the awkward tension in the air, Lelouch smiles, but he knows it’s a bit strained]

You really don’t have to thank me, Riku. Just take care of yourself and, if you do the assigned work, there’s really nothing to worry about -

[ he exhales a breath and gives a small, strained smile of his own. ]

I'll be sure to do that, professor.
