Some would call Sverre's actions a fit of paranoia, a sign of being too overprotective to compensate for years lost between them, and in a sense they were right. For what he considered to be his passion, the teen had no reason to ever choose Reims as his school. Yet he was the first of the two brothers to transfer, providing whatever cushioning was needed to make sure the younger of the two could make a smooth transition. But there was no doubt that he missed his brother, and while it'd taken a while it looked as if they were going to be reunited at last ( ... )

There was no doubt that he missed his brother, as well, although he would never admit it, as usual. There's no one to tease, troll, criticise, bicker with, and defy when Sverre wasn't around. Sure, they could still talk through Skype, text messages and stuff, but it's still not the same as speaking in person. Home felt...less of a home when his older brother wasn't around. Sometimes Eiríkur wished that he had another brother so it'd feel less lonely when Sverre isn't home, but then he remembered just how overprotective his older brother is. It's not like he doesn't enjoyed the attention, it's just that he wanted his brother to tune it down, at least a little. And this is what the other couldn't seem to understand ( ... )

Unfortunately for Eiríkur, nothing close to resembling 'common sense' was achieved during Sverre's stay in Reims. Instead the time of separation only gave the older of the two the opportunity to concoct more ways of 'protecting' the other, making his life just that much more difficult. In short, the remaining time they spend in this Academy would be as memorable as everything before it. And of course he saw that blush, only prompting him to tighten his grip.

"Can't be helped when it looks like ya want it."

Letting the latter to pull away from him, Sverre promptly reached for the other's suitcase regardless if his help was wanted or not. He'd rather have Eiríkur reserve his energy, especially since they still had a long day ahead of them. While the school itself wasn't abnormally large, it would take some time to show his brother everything.

However, priorities were obvious.

"We'll take ya to yer room before gettin' something to eat."

If anything, it seems like everything before this would pale in comparison with the time they're going to spend in Reims, in terms of the level of embarrassment. Eiríkur actually had a bad feeling and he'd considered going to other schools that's also in his blueprint, but he was already in love with Reims. And of course, he won't let such thing as an overprotective older brother be a hindrance. Besides, the brother in question would probably mock him for the rest of his life if he revoked going to a school just because he's going there as well. Obviously, he doesn't want that to happen. He's just going to brace himself and take a leap. It couldn't be that bad, right? Sverre could function as a metaphorical cushion, anyway ( ... )
