Well, we finally made it home from the hospital yesterday without any major glitches or events! :)   It looks like the fluid pockets in mom's lungs are shrinking (the right side one is gone and the left are on their way out too) and her breathing has improved alot. Her stats (pulse, blood pressure, O2 saturation) looked good too, even without

Woo hoo! That's fantastic.

You know an alternative to the in home care might be some kind of home call service. They give her a beeper to wear, and if she presses the button, they call her. If she doesn't answer the phone, they call you and tell you. (Ellen's Mom had such a service for a long time.)
