(Open Anti-OTP!)

Lucifer's currently lounging in a chair with a drink in one hand, his feet propped up on a footstool. Obviously, he's in a decent mood today -- or at least, he looks amused. No wonder, since he has a certain book by Dante Alighieri in his hands at the moment.

Typist: ... Diogenes' post tired me out. -- Anyways, I'd just like to note that ( Read more... )

*what the hell... they did dance once, after all*

*Haleth has been exploring the Mansion, for lack of anything better to do, when she runs across the Prince of Darkness in his chair with his book*

Oh--! ...Good day.

*lowers the book and manages something of a congenial smirk -- if there is such a thing*

Hello -- Haleth, was it?

*ignore how the typist fails like a faily thing, shall we?*

*sits in a chair across from him, looking vaguely amused*

Good book, that. Not quite accurate. He forgot the hanging by your ankles, watching twenty-four hour election coverage. Now that is torture.

Typist: ... I swear I commented to this o_O

*raises an eyebrow*

And there is the fact that I'm not perpetually mired in frozen mud and sludge. -- Unfortunately for everyone who has the luck, or lack thereof, to come across me.

Yeah but it'd get your pants all messy. And we couldn't have that.

It could be... some infernal ritual? Or something?

*squints at the book* Isn't 'Alighieri' something in some foul tongue or another?

...

Yes. Yes, it is. Congratulations -- you've caught me red-handed in the middle of a ritual that will curse all the virgin girls in the vicinity with an insatiable lust for the nearest man. *doesn't look too upset about being "caught", though*

He wanders up, carrying a book of his own, and tilts his head to see what Lucifer is reading. After a thoughtful pause, he says, "Excuse me, but I didn't realize you had time to read."

He laughs, tossing the book aside carelessly (it's written in original Italian, he would like to note). "I make time for everything. Besides, this book isn't exactly world-class reading material."

He follows the path of the book with his eyes. "I suppose not. It's suppose to be a classic though. I can't read Italian." And no, Armand will not look directly at Lucifer, even though it's rude.

Lucifer shrugs. "The quality of reading material is relative. It depends on who's doing the reading, after all. Now, while many people think Dante is a classic (and granted, they may be right), I think he's -- excuse the crude expression -- rather full of crap."
