#003 - This is definitely one of my favorites from the icon_talk battle. Icons like this remind me why I love bright, vivid colors so damn much. ♥ The lighting is so gorgeous, I could cry.

#011 - OH, THE YELLOWS ARE STUNNING. SPOCK IS STUNNING.

#014 - My eyes just zoomed in on that pretty light texture at the top. I love the coloring too -- yellow and red is a killer combination.

#023 - My love for light textures is showing, right? *______* But seriously, the colors in this are beautiful. AND STRONG CONTRAST FOR THE WIN!

#029 - I literally love everything about this icon. ♥ From the lighting to the texture use to the typography... Just... Everything

Let's see...definitely not wrong that you went for GA first! Haha! I'm only sorry there's only the one! And, um, #60 does, indeed, have a sneaky texture in the left corner! There was something bugging me when I was making it so I grabbed a texture by mm3butterfly (her textures are my crack rn) and manipulated it to serve my purpose, muwhahaha! Also your love for #29 pleases me because it is my most favorite thing I've made in awhile. :D So thank you again! ♥

ETA: Your gorgeous comment left me wondering...so I double checked your first icon post, and lo and behold, no comment from me. I'm a little miffed with myself right now. My only defense is there are too many damn icons coming out of the icon quest rn, and I can't keep up with what I've commented on and what I haven't. It's an issue. :-/ ANYWAY. POINT IS. Haha, I couldn't resist! Look at what Grey's has done to me. Only one icon, but it's an icon of Mer and she looks so pretty in it, so... All is forgiven. XDDD

Ah, the magic of textures. I use them for all sorts of stuff, but yes, they play a huge role in covering up flaws and mistakes (in my icons, at least!). Also, if you can't hide your mistake, draw the focus away from it with a flashy texture. As Legolas so aptly put it, A DIVERSION. XD

The text in #029 is really gorgeous though. YOU MUST TEACH ME YOUR WAYS, MASTER YODA. Promise I'll only use them for good, haha!
