math jokes and myths

 So I was helping Littlest Sis with her math homework, and it was one of those sheets where every time you solve a problem correctly, it spells out part of the answer to a joke. When she'd finished the page, she asked me, "What did the boy volcano say to the girl volcano?"  Without thinking, I answered, "Blow me."

'Cause volcanoes blow up.

Okay this made my day dude! I had an insanely long day at work, got home, and downloaded this to listen to while I did chores. Brilliant job! The best part for me is how I could tell in a few places you were CLEARLY amused when you read aloud and that just seriously made my day!! *BEAMS*

Oh, I'm so glad you liked it. Authorial approval is important... ;-) I had a great time recording it, and there were actually a few places where I was literally waving my hands around and acting out scenes to my computer screen. I'm so glad you can't see video in a podfic - it was not a pretty sight...You're pretty awesome yourself, you know!

How long does an average podfic take to do, out of curiosity? I'm sure editing in the music and stuff takes extra extra time.

Do you mean educational like, here-is-how-we-do-things-like-competent-people-who-know-stuff-come-learn-things? Or, educational like, here-is-a-crazy-person-come-tap-on-the-glass?

As for how long something takes to make, well, GarageBand usually cuts me off after around an hour of recording time or so...so, then I take a break and have a coffee and get distracted....and then go back for more recording time....and then realize I forgot to credit the author back in the first two minutes, so there's wierd re-recording going on back there.... In short, I do not know the answer to your question. *shrugs*

I had such a fun time recording this - there were live-action sequences and everything, which makes me so glad only my computer monitor could actually see me doing so.... Hope it makes you smile!

(The best part was the totally blank face she gave me, like, "I have no idea what you're talking about, Crazy Lady, but you are annoying me anyway.")

Omg! Finally I got to download this! ^_^ Seriously, it was like every time I tried for some reason it went so slow it was supposedly going to take up to a day to download (which is bull because I'd just downloaded something else that was about the same size and that took 4-5 mins) or I would get disconnected.

I haven't had a chance to listen to this yet but I've heard the beginning and I like it already! :)

And I told my friend the joke and she said, "blow me" too. Lol.

Right? That's what I thought.... There was another math worksheet joke today. "What did the boy tornado say to the girl tornado?"

...I can think of at least three dirty answers for this one. Tell me your best, and I'll tell you the actual answer! ^ _ ^

I am so bad at thinking dirty on command...

What I got was "You turn me round' round' round'" ... which isn't really dirty.

My first thought, though, was definitely "I am a tornado who somehow has a penis."

Which is not a joke. It's a statement. A very odd statement.

So... what is it? XD

The actual answer, on her homework sheet and everything, is.....drumroll please... "You blow me away."

Answers I though of (because I have too many thoughts) were,
"Suck me."
"Wanna screw?"
"That was fast."

Also, I suppose "Blow me" would also fit here...tornado = wind = blowing, right?
