I'm still in shock. I gave up on Glee this past season, wasn't part of the fandom and only ever heard about his and Lea's relationship from entertainment site headlines and yet still feel so devastated about this. There's been a supportive outpouring of grief for him and Lea (latest is that they were engaged? oh god.) and family/friends. But, damn

I'm about to post my story, too. I'm devastated by this. I went to a lot of Glee events and the one thing that's always rang so fucking clear to me is that Cory is the most genuine and down-to-earth guy. He always stopped for a fan, made sure to meet everyone and did it with a smile. It was just too soon and a lot of kids lost their idol tonight. Thinking about Lea, in particular, and his family.

So, so true. I honestly can't recall ever hearing anything bad about the guy. Ever. Was skimming quotes about how grateful he was for what he'd achieved and those he had in his life and how he strove to pay that forward. And now for it to just just abruptly end like this. Knowing that Lea and family/friends will never be the same from this point on. That's heartwrenching.

Tragic loss. :( I stopped watching Glee, too, but while I was watching it I always loved seeing him in behind-the-scenes stuff.

I stopped watching Glee after the first 5 eppies or so, so I can't even say that I "know" the actor at all but it doesn't stop me from being shocked since I read about his death this morning. I was instantly reminded on the day they. found Heath Ledger whom I had just seen in Brokeback Mountain - and for me, never being in for any celeb in my life - it still was the first time I understand this kind of loss, felt this kind of shock and grief and faced the impact of the pressure fame can have on celeb's lives.
I'm so fucking sorry about this. His family, friends and his fans will be out of their minds.
