TRUE DAT. Oddly enough, he was blond on the island before being rescued! It was long and shaggy and both his hair and his beard were dirty blond. Then after they get him back home and cleaned up and his hair is short again, it's dark brown. So I guess that was a shout-out to the original. And also a visual clue explaining he was missing long enough on the island for his hair and beard to be sun-bleached. I guess? IDEK, TINK.
