I'm curled up here, reading Myrna's If You Needed Me so I could tackle the coverart for that podfic project I'm working on (YAY!) and dude. I'd forgotten no doubt for my continued mental health just how hardcore she wrote Justin in love with Ethan.

Myrna hated Brian and said so repeatedly. IYNM is still my most favorite fic of all time in all fandoms ever, but if you really deconstruct it, it's kind of OOC. Myrna wrote Brian the way we all WISH he'd treated Justin, but never really did.

That said, I can quote that fic forever.

"Dammit, Justin, this tie is fucking Versace, would you watch what you're doing?"

Oh, yeah, her hate was definitely legendary. There really are parts with the OOC thang that have you going, "Umm... :\", but like you say, still one of my faves. Reading it again after so long was like I've heard childbirth is: Remembering only the good and forgetting the painful parts. ;D

That line kills me every.single.time.

Crazy! It was Myrna Day for us aldfja. And ain't that just the way? Checking one thing has led to hours lost for me, too. It's amazing I get anything done sometimes, I swear.

Myrna's fic is epic, but it's insanely OOC. She just wrote it all so perfectly, that the oocness became secondary for me.
