We went to Faire on Sunday. I happen to know one of the performers. She does aerial work on hoop and silks, which I find breathtaking and amazing in all kinds of "I'd never do that" ways. That first shot is amazing. It also reminds me that one of my biggest frustrations with silks is that I just don't have the flexibility to do the pretty stuff like that. It's less of an issue on hoop.

The first shot is both artistically satisfying and ouchie at the same time. She made it look so easy, and so perfect. And when she lay out into the splits, it was just smooth and painful in one simple drop.
