I'm sure the Headmaster and staff are doing something - they wouldn't let us starve to death because of something like this.

Just remember Gamp's Law: even if they get a single meal, they can multiply it to make enough food to feed the entire school. So if I were you, I wouldn't worry about it.

So they go out on a food run, use magic to keep the food warm enough, and just multiply it and voilà, food for all. Either that, or they can use an empty room and make a makeshift kitchen. It's not like it's impossible to do since we have magic, you know.
