tek's not going anyplace. as well sexson's had some character issues going on this year (remember the fight with kason?) so I'm sure they were probably looking for an out.
WEEI's panic people have been ripping tek a new one all week since the all star announcement but tito's told dale & holley how much they value him so I'm not worried. I even think he'll be back in the future b/c seriously, I don't think we can trust 162 games to kevin cash and the kids.

I would like it noted that not a single one of these tags was created for this post. Everything up there was sitting in the tags list.

The only thing this post accomplished was getting me to think about how we as fans refer to players in terms of first and last names. I realized that I never see Varitek referred to as "Jason" because my first that was "Jason?" "Jason Giambi?" what does he have to do with anything. The I realized she was talking about a player that can't be compared to Sexson at all. I should have just read the tags first.

Kool-Aid indeed.

Back to the first point though: Are there players that you choose to use either there first or last name and find it odd if the other is used? I don't think I ever hear David, or Kevin (though they both have pretty great nicknames).

Well, Manny is the obvious example.

Daisuke is also another obvious one. I think people tried to get Jacoby going, but that hasn't seemed to work so well.
