Alright, fellow Sox fans and A-Rod haters, this is a continuation of the last thread.

We've decided to start a NO A-ROD CAMPAIGN aimed at Theo and Fenway's front offices. We want to emphasize how much RSN does NOT want A-Rod in Boston gear next season. volare says we should have a unified design, which starbucks5721 will convert to pdf and put up somewhere for us ( Read more... )

Is this a "no a-rod yes mike lowell" campaign or just a "no a-rod" one? I can throw together a few ideas :)

I think it was more just "no A-Rod," since A-Rod's signing wouldn't necessarily mean Lowell's exit (if they got rid of Lugo and moved A-Rod to short), but what do you think? Should we say that we want Myglowl back, too?

based on last year? Yes. Hands down. He may be getting old, but seems to be tailor-made for this park.

Oh yeah, I mean I think we all want Myglowl back. The question is whether or not to add that to the card, or if this one should just be "NO A-ROD"

I think that if you guys want to do one for Lowell, then it needs to be two separate cards. However, if we can choose one to do, and do it well and send them a bajillion or so, then it will make a much bigger impact than if they just get a scattered bunch of assorted postcards randomly.

I also think that once we get one made up, someone needs to link it over to SOSH and wherever else, too. Haha, we could even swing it over in yankeesfans and make it out like Arod was such a hot Skankee, that 'we' never want him on the Red Sox for archrivalry reasons XD We could use the Yankees fans to our advantage, too XD

ALSO, I work in a printshop, as well. If you guys wanted to do some kind of mass donation sort of thing through PayPal or something(idk), for postage/printing and such, we could potentially mass-produce a couple hundred cards for decently cheap and mail them en-masse to Fenway and of course, ESPN and whoever else. My Yankees-loving boss would hate me, but that'd be half the fun XD

Haha, nice. I sort of agree that we should just have one card with one message.

I might be able to come up with something while I'm sitting on my butt watching the Pats today. :) I'll get back to you.

If it was just a "SAVE LOWELL" thing, we could always send a dollar with each card and say, "Use this money to keep Mike Lowell."

If it was a No ARod thing, we could mock up a bottle of poison with the skull + crossbones on it and replace the skull with ARod's face, and have the words "RED SOX NATION POISON CONTROL - DON'T SIGN AROD FOR FEAR OF SEASON FATALITY."

Kind of like this, only more fine-tuned as this took approx. 2 minutes.
