Alright, fellow Sox fans and A-Rod haters, this is a continuation of the last thread.

We've decided to start a NO A-ROD CAMPAIGN aimed at Theo and Fenway's front offices. We want to emphasize how much RSN does NOT want A-Rod in Boston gear next season. volare says we should have a unified design, which starbucks5721 will convert to pdf and put up somewhere for us ( Read more... )

This would work best as a mailer, but we'd still need color printing. Simple is best, though. Anything that works with more contrast?

For sure, although I think a black and white version of that would get the point across.

Most folks go way overboard with the A-Rod hate. They say idiotic things like clubhouse cancer and championship-repelant. But if he wound up in Boston and they won in '08 I think you'd all shut up, real quick.

But anyways, that doesn't mean I'm in favor of signing A-Rod. I don't think the Sox should, but it's for a reason that not too many bring up. The Sox have a huge payroll, but it's not unlimited. They'd probably have to shed some salary if they brought on A-Rod. And they've gone the last few years with a deadly 3-4 combo, not a deadly 3-4-5 combo. Plus, with the emergence of Ellsbury, they have an extra outfielder. So what could they do to fix the extra outfield situation, stick with the 3-4 combo, and shed a lot of salary in one move? If they sign A-Rod I think that means that Manny is out. And that is the only reason why I don't want A-Rod.

Lowell/Manny > A-Rod/Crisp

I think that's the point we're trying to make. Signing A-Rod would hurt the team, not help it.

Yeah, I dont think anyone was trying to go overboard on the hate issue. Hence the conservative picture choices.

You do realize that when you say something like that you sound just like robvansam with his pulling stuff out of his ass? I love that there are still fans out there that think a catchy slogan and handshakes can make a team win a championship.
