Alright, fellow Sox fans and A-Rod haters, this is a continuation of
the last thread.
We've decided to start a NO A-ROD CAMPAIGN aimed at Theo and Fenway's front offices. We want to emphasize how much RSN does NOT want A-Rod in Boston gear next season.

But anyways, that doesn't mean I'm in favor of signing A-Rod. I don't think the Sox should, but it's for a reason that not too many bring up. The Sox have a huge payroll, but it's not unlimited. They'd probably have to shed some salary if they brought on A-Rod. And they've gone the last few years with a deadly 3-4 combo, not a deadly 3-4-5 combo. Plus, with the emergence of Ellsbury, they have an extra outfielder. So what could they do to fix the extra outfield situation, stick with the 3-4 combo, and shed a lot of salary in one move? If they sign A-Rod I think that means that Manny is out. And that is the only reason why I don't want A-Rod.
Lowell/Manny > A-Rod/Crisp

I think that's the point we're trying to make. Signing A-Rod would hurt the team, not help it.
